Wisdom nets hat-trick, JRC charges to 8-0 win

The Toronto Jr. Canadiens earned their second win of the day as Zayde Wisdom (1, 2, 3) recorded a hat-trick along with an assist in an 8-0 win over the Thunder Bay Kings.

The Jr. Canadiens outscored their opponents 12-0 on Wednesday as Christopher Adolphe followed up Sami Molu’s afternoon shutout with a 25-save performance of his own.

JRC Player of the Game Frankie Carogioiello (1, 2) joined Wisdom with four points, scoring twice while adding two assists.

“We were on the same page out there tonight,” said Wisdom, who led the charge to victory. “We really came alive early in the second period and we didn’t want to let up because every shift matters in a tournament like this.”

Dylan Robinson (2), Aydin Parekh (1) and Michael Bianconi (2) chipped in with goals for JRC as they went 4-for-7 on the power play and 11 different players registered a point.

The Jr. Canadiens sit tied with Barrie atop the Subban Division boasting a 2-0-1 record while Thunder Bay falls to 0-2-0.

JRC gets a day off on Thursday but returns to action on Friday against the Brantford 99ers (1-1-0) while Thunder Bay hits the ice on Thursday at 1:45pm against the Don Mills Flyers (0-2-0).
